蜜桃视频 College admitted the first students into its new Nursing Program this spring. There are 23 students in the first cohort.

鈥淐haracteristics that we look for in our nursing students included high academic achievement, potential to be successful in a rigorous program of study, grit and resilience, ability to work as a team, orientation toward health equity, and an ability to care for diverse populations,鈥 said Nursing Program Director Michelle Hartman.

Over the next year, 蜜桃视频 Nursing students will continue to take prerequisite and general education classes. The first Nursing courses begin in Spring 2027, with clinical courses following in Fall 2027.

鈥溍厶沂悠碘檚 nursing program builds on the College鈥檚 distinctive strengths, including a rich liberal arts foundation, rigorous preparation in the sciences and mathematics, individualized advising, and small class sizes that foster meaningful faculty relationships,鈥 Hartman said. 鈥淥ur nursing students benefit from a supportive learning environment with abundant opportunities for mentorship, academic support, and professional growth.鈥

Each week, 蜜桃视频 nursing students have the opportunity to participate in Nursing Strong activities. Dr. Hartman hosts these sessions to build community and support the success of the cohort. Nursing Strong activities have included study halls, coloring study pages aligned with content, making stress management baggies, and attending an Avenging Angels basketball game.

Admission to 蜜桃视频鈥檚 Nursing Program involves a secondary application process. Enrolled 蜜桃视频 students will continue to apply to the program through a secondary application process that occurs each spring semester. Students will submit responses to essay prompts, course grades, and GPA, and two references as part of the application process.
